Esther Contreras is a Partner with the law firm Masuda Funai where she helps employers and professionals in all aspects of immigration law. She advises management and HR on work visas and permanent residence for their employees as well as in worksite enforcement, including I-9 compliance and E-Verify. Ms. Contreras holds degrees from Northwestern University and the University of Illinois College of Law. She is active in a variety of legal and professional organizations, including the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law, Hispanic National Bar Association, Chicago SHRM, and previously served as Vice-Chair of the Chicago Bar Association’s Immigration Committee and as a board member of the University of Illinois Law Alumni Board.
